I had an emergency with my BMW i435 due to an oil leak that had gone unattended, and unknown to me, for quite a while. The damage was extensive. Fortunately, the warning lights came on and my wife, who was driving it near our daughter’s home in Walnut Creek, had my son-in-law take a look at it. He realized that there was more damage than he could address. They took the car to M Service in Walnut Creek as my son-in-law was familiar with them. They had a system where you could leave your car after closing time which helped. M Service called the next day and told me that they were going to take a look at the car and called me back. They did promptly and explained to me the condition of the car and what it would take to fix it. They also told me that before they undertook the extensive repair, they would ensure that the engine was OK. It was. They then emailed me a very detailed estimate listing all the parts needed and their cost as well as the labor cost and how long it would take to repair the car. They met the goal, and the actual cost came below the original estimate as they didn’t have to use some of the parts they ordered. Again, they provided a very detailed, 4 page invoice, listing all that had been done. In all the more than 60 years that I’ve been driving and had many cars repaired all over the country and abroad, I had never received the quality and comprehensiveness of service that these guys performed. They are now my car’s mechanics.
