As you may know, our 5th Annual Holiday Food Drive is underway for the month of December! Click the logo for a list of foods needed. Please don't forget to bring in a donation of 5+ items of food and we will take 10% off your service or repair up to $100.00*. (More is always welcome) In addition, for every pound of food collected. Drivers often underestimate the importance of preparing cars for the winter. M Service Inc wants to make sure you're prepared with these winter maintenance driving tips! Have the battery and charging system checked for optimum performance. Cold weather is hard on batteries. Clean, flush and put new antifreeze in the cooling system. As a general rule of thumb, this should be done every four years. Make sure heaters, defrosters and wipers work properly. Use cold weather washer fluid. We hope August is treating you well so far. This month we have some great tips on decoding your dashboard indicator lights. When should I stop driving and get my car checked out? Check Engine Light/Service Engine Soon This light may be activated due to issues ranging from something minor like a loose gas cap to something serious such as a faulty catalytic convertor. Make sure to bring in your vehicle for testing. If the light flashes, it is warning you of a potentially dangerous problem. Stop driving IMMEDIATELY and get it towed to M Service Inc right away! Water is a previous resource, especially considering the drought we are currently in. You may be shortening showers and limiting outdoor water use, but did you know there are ways to wash your car without using gallons of water? There are many types of "Waterless Car Wash" products out there on the market, some even have a built-in wax! You simply spray on, wipe off, and then buff. Here are a couple tips when using a waterless car wash product: Waterless Car Wash products work on cars that are lightly dirty. If your car is very dirty, it will need a pre-rinse. Make sure to use a clean microfiber polishing towel. A thicker towel is preferably to a thinner towel. Spring is upon us, and summer is right around the corner. Make sure your A/C is running in perfect condition to keep you cool on hot days. How often should I have my car's air conditioning system serviced? Air conditioning systems may lose 0.3-0.6 ounces of refrigerant yearly, which is why it's a good idea to have your air conditioning system checked yearly. That being said, if at any time you start to notice your interior cooling ability has declined, you should have your air conditioning system tested.
